||Luke Daniels endured a frustrating 2016-17 which was curtailed by injury, but before then he had scored one try in 13 appearances. He relished his return to the Greene King IPA Championship in 2015-16 and continued to terrorise defences with his speed and eye for a gap. He finished with five tries, but created numerous more for his teammates with his ability to break the line. Daniels made a late start to life at Vallis Way after joining from Esher in 2014, but he made a huge impact with his speed, quick feet and running lines to help Ealing Trailfinders to the National 1 title. The South African native scored important tries against Coventry and Rosslyn Park and he ended the season with 12 tries from 15 appearances and also showed his prowess with the boot by landing 21 conversions and two penalties. Daniels joined from Esher, where he appeared as fly-half, fullback and wing for the previous three seasons. He notched up 267 points in 2013-14 as the Surrey side finished fifth in National 1 and earned himself a place in The Rugby Paper’s National 1 dream team in the number 15 shirt. Daniels has also appeared for England Counties U20 and Surrey U20.
