Additional Aaron Penberthy signed for Ealing Trailfinders early in the 2016-17 season and made his debut soon after when he came off the bench against former club Cornish Pirates at the Mennaye Field. He enjoyed a strong debut season and ended the year with 146 points from his boot in 24 apperances. Penberthy moved to Vallis Way following a brief spell with Spanish champions, Silver Storm El Salvador. Before then be played for Jersey Reds for three years and he featured in both matches between Ealing Trailfinders and the Channel Islanders in 2015-16. The Cornishman began his career at Redruth, where he played alongside Mark Bright and then moved to Cornish Pirates in 2011, who he helped to the 2012 play-off final. Penberthy’s preferred position in fly-half, but he has also featured in the Championship at fullback and centre.
