Wasps Prop Alex Lundberg joins Ealing Trailfinders on loan
Ealing Trailfinders can today confirm that prop Alex Lundberg has joined the club from Wasps on a three-week loan.
The loose-head made his first-team debut for the Aviva Premiership side back in the 2013/14 season aged just 18, and became their first player to go from the mini rugby all the way to the first team for Wasps.
The 22-year-old has featured for England at Under 20 level, and has previous Greene King IPA Championship experience with Bedford Blues after spending the 15/16 season on loan at Goldington Road.
Lundberg will look to get some more game-time in the Championship and adds further depth to the loose-head department alongside the likes of Will Davis, James Gibbons and Djustice Sears Duru as the squad continues to improve at Vallis Way.
The prop is excited to be heading to Ealing Trailfinders for another stint in the Championship.
“Having spent a long time on the sideline due to injury, the possibility of getting some game time with a club like Ealing is a great opportunity for me. I've really enjoyed training, everyone's been really welcoming, and now I'm just looking forward to getting on the pitch when I'm given the chance.”
Director of Rugby Ben Ward is pleased to add more competition to the squad with the arrival of Lundberg.
“Alex will add to our front-row area and with his ball-carrying ability adds another dimension so we’re delighted to welcome him to Ealing Trailfinders on loan.”
