Shane O'Leary to join Nottingham at the end of the season
Ealing Trailfinders can today confirm that Shane O’Leary will leave the club at the end of the season to join Nottingham Rugby.
The Canadian international has spent part of the season on duty with his country in their World Cup Qualifiers, but has made an impressive impact when wearing the Green and White for the West Londoners.
O’Leary has featured four times, scoring 26 points from his right boot. His most memorable display came in the victory over Connacht Eagles in the B&I Cup, where he kicked eight conversions in a 71-14 win at the Sports Ground in Galway.
The former Connacht man has relished his time at Vallis Way:
“I’ve really enjoyed my time in Ealing playing with some great players and winning regularly. I'm looking forward to a strong end to the season and hoping to push all the way in the Championship and British & Irish Cup.”
Director of Rugby Ben Ward wishes the 25-year-old all the best at Lady Bay.
“Shane has been a great character around the squad and has a huge amount of talent which I’m sure will be a great addition to Nottingham for next year.
He still has an important job with us until the end of the season and we look forward to seeing his performances develop as we aim to keep pushing at the top end of the table.”
