Lydon relishing chance of facing former club in tomorrow's London derby
Peter Lydon joined Ealing Trailfinders in the summer after spending three seasons with tomorrow's opponents London Scottish, and the full-back is relishing the opportunity of lining up against his former club.
The 24-year-old has started all three matches so far this season with Ben Ward’s side securing three bonus point victories, but he insists that the West Londoners won’t get carried away with the encouraging start to the campaign.
“There’s more to come and we felt like we didn’t express ourselves in the first two matches and ended up scraping over the line. Last week against Bedford was the first sign of us playing without fear and we need to use that to build some momentum.” Said the Irishman.
He continued: “I’m looking forward to the game after three great years with Scottish. I definitely grew as a player and have some fond memories of my time at the Athletic Ground. Knowing so many of the players and staff who are still there it’s exciting to be going up against them but we want to keep building from the win over Bedford.”
