Luke Daniels to make 50th Ealing Trailfinders appearance as Bristol head to Vallis Way

Luke Daniels will make his 50th appearance for Ealing Trailfinders in tomorrow’s top of the table clash against Bristol at Vallis Way.

The full-back joined the club back in 2014 and has seen them transform in that time, with a match between the top two in the Championship on the agenda.

The starting line-up features four changes from the side that defeated London Scottish in their last outing, with one change up front and three alterations in the back-line.

James Gibbons and Alun Walker are joined by Lewis Thiede in the front-row, with Harry Casson and Barney Maddison in the second-row. Kieran Murphy, Rayn Smid and Captain Mark Bright start in a settled back-row.

Luke Carter and Aaron Penberthy start as half-backs and will look to control the game in the nine and ten shirts, whilst Joe Munro and Lewis Jones start in an unchanged centre partnership.

James Cordy Redden and Will Harries will operate on the wings and look to take any chances that come their way, whilst in-form Luke Daniels returns to the full-back position.

Matt Cornish, Will Davis and Mark Tampin offer a front-row alternative on the bench, with Morgan Allen looking to make an impact whilst new signing Ollie Stedman could make his debut. Scrum-half Dan Grant Adamson and Peter Lydon complete the match day squad.

Luke Daniels is excited to play in such an important fixture in front of the home supporters:

“It’s a big occasion for the club and a real honour to get my 50th cap. I’m proud of the effort that has seen them rise from National One and really looking forward to this game.”

He added: “We know it’s a big game and we were disappointed to lose at Ashton Gate earlier in the season so we’ve got to turn up this weekend.”
