Laurence May to join Ealing Trailfinders from Cornish Pirates
Ealing Trailfinders are pleased to announce the signing of Laurence May from Cornish Pirates on a two-year deal.
The fly-half has been a consistent performer in the Greene King IPA Championship over the last four years, scoring 599 points in 97 appearances during his time at Mennaye Field.
After graduating from the Exeter Chiefs Academy he initially joined the Pirates on a dual registration before making a permanent switch.
The 23-year-old plays an expansive brand of rugby on the front-foot, and will be looking to make a big impact in the 10 shirt in West London.
Director of Rugby Ben Ward is pleased to have added the fly-half to his squad for next year:
“Laurence is a player that we have had our eyes on for a couple of years now and brings with him plenty of Championship experience.
I’m sure he will suit our style of rugby very nicely and add some real quality to our back line.”
May is thrilled to be heading to Vallis Way for the next chapter in his career.
“I’m really excited to take on a new challenge with a very ambitious club. It’s a club with great facilities and a strong squad which I’m eager to get involved with.
Moving from Cornwall to London is going to be a big cultural change but one I’m looking forward to experiencing.”
