Ealing Trailfinders agree deal with Mizuno
Today, Ealing Trailfinders has reached an agreement with Mizuno for a technical sponsorship deal starting from the 2017/18 campaign. Mizuno will be the Official Kit Sponsor of Ealing Trailfinders’ First Team, providing their match kit and training wear, for a three-year term.
Ben Ward’s men will run out in the Japanese sports brand at all their Championship and British and Irish Cup matches next season, with the kit reveal in the upcoming weeks.
Of the Club’s recent deal, Ealing Trailfinders Director of Rugby Ben Ward said, “To sign with Mizuno is hugely exciting for Ealing Trailfinders. Some of the designs we have seen are going to be popular with the supporters and the quality is very good. Working alongside a brand such as Mizuno is a testament to where we have come, and the appeal of Ealing Trailfinders. I’m looking forward to working closely with Mizuno, during the next three years, and developing our partnership further.”
Mizuno provides kits for Romania and Tonga national teams and boots for the Fiji 7s team, Bath and former Ealing Trailfinders player Matt Garvey, and England 7s all-time leading try-scorer Dan Norton, to name but a few. When Jonah Lomu first came to world’s attention with his barnstorming displays at Rugby World Cup 1995 he did so in a pair of Mizuno Timaru boots.
Rob Henderson, Head of UK Marketing for Mizuno, added: “Mizuno is incredibly proud to be working with Ealing Trailfinders. As one of the most successful rugby teams in the United Kingdom we feel deeply honoured that Ealing Trailfinders has recognised Mizuno’s tireless approach to finding new ways of improving performance, protection and comfort. Like Ealing Trailfinders we will never stop pushing and we are looking forward to the partnership with great enthusiasm and with a high expectation of achievement.”
The kit deal means Mizuno replaces Under Armour, who have provided Ealing Trailfinders’ kit and training wear for the past four seasons.
