Cordy Redden pleased to get back to winning ways

Winger James Cordy Redden was relieved to get the victory over Jersey in tough conditions on Friday night.

The winger scored for the second week running, and says the squad executed the right kind of performance on a heavy pitch.

"We know what a big test it would be but we stuck to the game plan and put in a really big shift."

"It's a really good win for us. We felt like we had to put in a good performance after the Bristol match and that's what we did, so we've just got to keep at it for the rest of the season."

The former England Sevens representative scored in impressive style after gathering a high ball, but was quick to credit the delivery.

"It was an excellent kick from Penbo (Aaron Penberthy) and all of us wingers do a lot of work in the air but when you've got the best kickers in the league it helps!"
